Mission
At The Agnus Dei Foundation, our mission is to restore dignity and stability to homeless veterans by providing permanent housing and wraparound services that promote independence, resilience, and long-term success. Through innovative programs that address mental health, financial literacy, and workforce development, we empower veterans to overcome barriers and reintegrate into society with purpose and confidence.
Our Services
Through integrated housing and supportive services, Bi’gnus Village is designed to reduce veteran homelessness, improve health outcomes, and create sustainable pathways to permanent housing and economic stability.
Permanent Supportive Housing | Bi’gnus Village
The Agnus Dei Foundation is developing Bi’gnus Village, a pilot permanent supportive housing (PSH) community serving veterans experiencing homelessness at risk. The project combines affordable, permanent tiny-home housing with coordinated off-site supportive services to promote housing stability, recovery, and self-sufficiency. Over the past year, the Foundation has completed site planning, formalized key service partnerships, and initiated fundraising to advance the project toward construction and occupancy.
Mental Health and Wellness Services
Veterans residing in Bi’gnus Village will have access to trauma-informed mental health and wellness services through formal partnerships with licensed healthcare and counseling providers. Services include behavioral health assessments, individual and group counseling, substance use disorder referrals, and care coordination.
Outcomes:
At least 95% of residents will be connected to mental health or wellness services within 30 days of housing placement
At least 85% of residents will remain actively engaged in services at 6 months
At least 80% of residents will maintain housing stability for 12 months or longer.
Financial Literacy, Employment, and Disability Benefits Support
To support long-term independence, the Foundation delivers a veteran-focused financial literacy and economic stability program. Services include budgeting and credit education, benefits navigation (including VA and SSI/SSDI support), job readiness training, and referrals to workforce development partners.
Outcomes:
90% of residents will complete financial literacy training within 6 months
75% of eligible residents will apply for VA or disability benefits with assistance
60% of work-ready residents will obtain employment, vocational training, or stable income within 12 months
